Day 1: Arrival in Ushuaia

• Arrive in Ushuaia, Argentina.

• Transfer to a designated hotel, such as Las Hayas Ushuaia Resort or Los Acebos Ushuaia Hotel.

• Spend the day at leisure. Optional activities may include exploring Ushuaia or joining a Beagle Channel cruise to see sea lions and other wildlife.

• In the evening, attend a welcome reception to meet fellow travelers and the expedition team.

Day 2: Embarkation in Ushuaia

• Morning at leisure to explore Ushuaia.

• Check out of the hotel and ensure cabin luggage is labeled for transfer to the ship.

• Optional catamaran cruise in the Beagle Channel.

• Transfer to the pier for embarkation on the Greg Mortimer.

• Settle into cabins and attend mandatory briefings.

• Depart Ushuaia and begin the journey to Antarctica.

Day 3-4: Drake Passage Crossing

• Cross the Drake Passage, known for its unpredictable weather and rich marine life.

• Attend lectures on Antarctica's history, wildlife, and environment.

• Enjoy onboard facilities like the gym, sauna, and observation lounges.

• Spot seabirds such as albatrosses and petrels.

Day 5-8: Antarctic Peninsula

• Explore the western side of the Antarctic Peninsula and the South Shetland Islands.

• Participate in Zodiac excursions to ice cliffs, grounded icebergs, and penguin rookeries.

• Visit historic sites and enjoy scenic cruising through narrow straits.

• Optional activities like polar plunging or kayaking may be available.

Day 9-10: At Sea

• Sail towards the Falklands~Malvinas.

• Continue the onboard lecture program and enjoy ship facilities.

Day 11-12: Falklands~Malvinas

• Spend two days exploring the Falklands~Malvinas, discovering its rich history and birdlife.

• Visit sites like Port Stanley and surrounding islands.

Day 13-14: At Sea

• Cross the Scotia Sea towards South Georgia.

• Attend lectures and enjoy onboard activities.

Day 15-16: South Georgia

• Explore South Georgia's rugged coastline and wildlife havens.

• Visit king penguin colonies and historic sites like Grytviken.

• Enjoy Zodiac excursions in secluded bays.

Day 17-18: At Sea

• Sail towards the South Sandwich Islands.

• Continue lectures and onboard activities.

Day 19: South Sandwich Islands

• Visit the seldom-visited volcanic islands of the South Sandwich Islands.

• Enjoy Zodiac excursions in secluded bays and photograph glaciers and icebergs.

Day 20-21: At Sea

• Begin the journey back to Ushuaia.

• Reflect on the journey and attend final lectures.

Day 22-24: Drake Passage Crossing and Disembarkation in Ushuaia

• Cross the Drake Passage again.

• Attend final lectures and enjoy the Southern Ocean's wildlife.

• Disembark in Ushuaia early in the morning.

• Transfer to Ushuaia Airport for return flights or post-voyage accommodations.
