  • Check-in at the hotel and visit the Aurora Expeditions hospitality desk to collect luggage cabin tags and receive information about the voyage.

  • Attend a briefing at 7:00 PM to discuss the itinerary and IAATO regulations for visiting Antarctica.

Day 2: Fly to King George Island, Embarkation

  • Transfer to Punta Arenas airport for a charter flight to King George Island, Antarctica (weather permitting).

  • The flight takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

  • Upon arrival, transfer to the vessel via Zodiac.

  • Settle into your cabin and attend safety briefings.

Days 3-8: Antarctic Peninsula

  • Explore the western side of the Antarctic Peninsula and the South Shetland Islands.

  • Experience approximately 18-24 hours of daylight.

  • The expedition team will plan daily activities based on weather, ice conditions, and wildlife opportunities.

  • Activities include Zodiac cruises, landings to visit penguin rookeries, historic huts, and scenic vantage points.

  • Optional activities like polar plunging are available when conditions permit.

Day 9: Fly from King George Island to Punta Arenas

  • Board a charter flight back to Punta Arenas (approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes).
