Check-in at the hotel and visit the Aurora Expeditions hospitality desk to collect luggage cabin tags and receive information about the voyage.
Attend a briefing at 7:00 PM to discuss the itinerary and IAATO regulations for visiting Antarctica.
Day 2: Fly to King George Island, Embarkation
Transfer to Punta Arenas airport for a charter flight to King George Island, Antarctica (weather permitting).
The flight takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Upon arrival, transfer to the vessel via Zodiac.
Settle into your cabin and attend safety briefings.
Days 3-8: Antarctic Peninsula
Explore the western side of the Antarctic Peninsula and the South Shetland Islands.
Experience approximately 18-24 hours of daylight.
The expedition team will plan daily activities based on weather, ice conditions, and wildlife opportunities.
Activities include Zodiac cruises, landings to visit penguin rookeries, historic huts, and scenic vantage points.
Optional activities like polar plunging are available when conditions permit.
Day 9: Fly from King George Island to Punta Arenas
Board a charter flight back to Punta Arenas (approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes).
Reflect on your Antarctic adventure.
Transfer to a hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 10: Departure from Punta Arenas
