Day 1: Arrival in Ushuaia, Embarkation
Arrive in Ushuaia, Argentina, the world’s southernmost city.
Explore this vibrant Patagonian city or stretch your legs in the surrounding forests.
Alternatively, consider a day trip into the raw nature of Tierra del Fuego.
In the afternoon, board the vessel in port.
After a mandatory safety drill, the expedition begins as you navigate through the Beagle Channel, setting an easterly course for the Falkland Islands.
Day 2: At Sea - En Route to the Falkland Islands
Follow the ocean currents of the South Atlantic towards the Falkland Islands.
The Expedition Team will brief you on how to behave onshore to minimize disturbance and assist in biosecuring your clothing and equipment.
Keep binoculars ready for whales and dolphins.
Day 3-4: Western Falkland Islands
Spend two days exploring the outer islands in the West Falklands, known for their wildlife.
Visit penguin colonies, albatross rookeries, and look out for seals, whales, and dolphins.
Islands like West Point, Carcass, and Saunders offer white sandy shores and spectacular wildlife.
Day 5: Stanley, Falkland Islands
Cast anchor in Stanley, the capital of the Falkland Islands, and explore its distinctly British atmosphere.
Visit Christchurch Cathedral, local shops, cafes, and the museum.
Take a short drive or walk to nearby beaches, now demined and open to visitors.
Day 6-7: At Sea Towards South Georgia
Set out eastwards towards South Georgia, entering the Furious Fifties.
The Expedition Team will continue lectures on the history, biology, and wildlife of South Georgia.
Biosecure your equipment again to protect the island's ecosystem.
Day 8-11: South Georgia
Explore South Georgia, known for its incredible wildlife diversity.
Visit beaches thronged with King Penguins, Antarctic fur seals, and southern elephant seals.
See petrels, albatross, and shags nesting on hillsides.
The itinerary will be adjusted based on weather and sea conditions.
Day 12-15: At Sea Towards South America
Head northwest towards Montevideo, Uruguay.
Onboard activities include lectures, photography workshops, and relaxation.
Watch for changes in bird and marine life as you enter more temperate waters.
Day 16: Montevideo, Uruguay - Disembarkation
Arrive in Montevideo, the vibrant capital of Uruguay.
Enjoy the city's wine, cuisine, and beach lifestyle before disembarking.
