Day 1-2: Ushuaia, Argentina
Depart from Ushuaia, Argentina, and begin your journey to the South Georgia Islands.
Spend the first couple of days at sea, enjoying onboard presentations and preparing for the wildlife and landscapes ahead.
Day 3-4: At Sea
Continue sailing towards South Georgia, with opportunities to spot seabirds and marine life.
Onboard experts will provide lectures on wildlife, history, and geology.
Day 5-7: South Georgia Island
Arrive at South Georgia and explore its rugged coastline and wildlife-rich beaches.
Visit sites such as Grytviken, Gold Harbour, St. Andrew’s Bay, and Salisbury Plain.
Pay respects at Sir Ernest Shackleton’s grave in Grytviken.
Witness king penguins, elephant seals, and fur seals in their natural habitats.
Day 8-9: At Sea
Depart South Georgia and head towards the Antarctic Peninsula.
Enjoy presentations and workshops by the Expedition Team to prepare for the Antarctic experience.
Day 10-13: Antarctic Peninsula
Explore the Antarctic Peninsula by ship, Zodiac, and on foot.
Participate in Zodiac cruises through iceberg alleys and visit penguin colonies.
Optional activities include sea kayaking, hiking on glaciers, and the Polar Plunge.
Encounter gentoo, chinstrap, and Adélie penguins, as well as Weddell, fur, crabeater, and leopard seals.
Day 14-15: Drake Passage
Begin the journey back to Ushuaia, crossing the Drake Passage.
Keep watch for seabirds and whales, and enjoy final presentations by the Expedition Team.
Day 16: Ushuaia, Argentina
Arrive back in Ushuaia in the morning, concluding the expedition.
