  • Arrive in Ushuaia or Buenos Aires, Argentina (depending on your chosen cruise). This day is for arrival and preparation.

Day 2

  • Board the Sea Spirit in the afternoon in Ushuaia and start your journey leaving South America through the Beagle Channel to your first stop, the Falklands. Enjoy the scenic views of the Beagle Channel and get settled on the ship.

Day 3

  • Enjoy spectacular ocean views, visit safety briefings, and join lectures with onboard specialists on marine biology, geography, history, and photography. This day is spent at sea, offering a chance to relax and learn about the upcoming destinations.

Day 4-5

  • Arrive at the Falklands. Visit remote beaches with penguins and nesting seabirds—a true birder’s paradise. Discover Port Stanley, the capital of the Falklands, visit the local museum, see the cathedral with its iconic whalebone arch, and enjoy the quaint pubs.

Day 6-7

  • Continue sailing through the Southern Ocean, enjoying the ship’s amenities and possibly spotting whales and seabirds.

Day 8-12

  • Explore South Georgia Island. Discover penguins and seals on pristine beaches and plains. Visit penguin rookeries, elephant seals and their pups, fur seals, and seabirds. Explore the museum in Grytviken, covering Antarctic history, flora, and fauna. Visit abandoned whaling stations being reclaimed by nature and wildlife. Use Zodiacs for landings and kayaks for paddling in the bays.

  • Continue to the Antarctic Peninsula. Enjoy ocean views on deck or from the captain’s bridge, looking out for whales and albatrosses. Weather permitting, stop at Elephant Island.

  • Discover the South Shetland Islands, rich in history and wildlife. Visit the former whaling station on Deception Island and explore Elephant Island, famous for Shackleton’s heroic Antarctic trip and South Georgia voyage. Learn about their ill-fated expedition on the Endurance.

Day 19-20

  • Continue exploring the Antarctic Peninsula, enjoying the pristine polar wilderness with bustling penguin colonies, dauntless seals, and voracious whales.
