Begin the expedition navigating the calm waters of the Beagle Channel.
Day 2-3: At Sea - Crossing the Drake Passage Southbound
Sail across the Drake Passage, separating Patagonia and the Antarctic Peninsula.
Experience strong westerly winds and rough seas.
Attend onboard lectures on Antarctic exploration history, wildlife, geology, and more.
Receive assistance from the Expedition Team with biosecuring clothing and equipment.
Possible landfall in the South Shetland Islands on the afternoon of the second day.
Day 4-6: South Shetland Islands & the Antarctic Peninsula
Explore wildlife-rich South Shetland Islands, including Gentoo and Chinstrap Penguin colonies and Giant Petrels.
Visit potential landing sites: Deception Island, Aitcho and Half Moon Islands, Yankee Harbour.
Continue south to the Antarctic Peninsula, exploring Gerlache Strait.
Experience ice cliffs, peaks, icebergs, glaciers, and snowfields.
Participate in Zodiac landings and cruises to penguin rookeries, historical sites, and scenic areas with giant icebergs, whales, and seals.
Day 7-8: At Sea - Crossing the Drake Passage Northbound
Depart Antarctica and cross the Drake Passage back to Ushuaia over two days.
Enjoy onboard lectures, relaxation in hot tubs or spa, and socializing with fellow travelers.
Attend a Farewell Cocktail Party with the Captain and Officers.
