Day 1: Arrive in & Explore Ushuaia
Guests arrive in Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, and spend the day exploring.
They are welcomed at the airport and transferred to the Arakur Ushuaia Resort & Spa.
The evening includes a briefing at the resort, where guests can ask questions and meet fellow travelers.
Day 2: Embarkation
Spend the morning relaxing at the hotel, visiting a museum, or exploring Ushuaia's shops.
In the mid-afternoon, guests are escorted to the ship, Seaventure.
The Expedition Team and ship staff welcome them on board, followed by a safety and orientation briefing and the Captain's welcome dinner.
Days 3-4: Drake Passage
The journey begins across the Drake Passage.
Guests join Polar Experts who share knowledge about Antarctica's wildlife and history.
Participants can engage in the Citizen Science program or enjoy the scenic views while spotting seabirds and other wildlife as the ship crosses the Antarctic Convergence.
Day 5: South Shetland Islands
Explore the South Shetland Islands, known for their unique geology and diverse wildlife, including Chinstrap and Gentoo penguins, Elephant and Fur seals, and whales.
Guests use Zodiacs to explore the islands and may kayak in the pristine waters.
Days 6-8: Antarctica
Explore picturesque bays and harbors in Antarctica, navigating through iceberg-rich channels and wildlife-rich waters.
Encounters with penguins, seals, and whales are common.
Guests visit active scientific bases and historic landing sites during typical two-a-day outings.
An optional night of camping under the stars is available.
Days 9-10: Drake Passage
Begin the journey back across the Drake Passage.
This is a time for reflection and celebration of the expedition's highlights.
Day 11: Disembarkation in Ushuaia
