• In the evening, meet with a Quark Expeditions representative at the official starting point hotel for a welcome dinner and briefing.

Day 2: Embarkation in Ushuaia

• Embark on the ship in Ushuaia.

• Begin sailing across the Drake Passage.

Day 3-4: Crossing the Drake Passage

• Spend two days at sea crossing the Drake Passage.

• Attend onboard presentations on wildlife, history, glaciology, and geology.

• Keep an eye out for whales and seabirds.

Day 5-6: Antarctic Peninsula

• Explore the Antarctic Peninsula.

• Participate in Zodiac cruises to get up-close views of icebergs and wildlife.

• Visit historic sites and enjoy shore visits.

Day 7: Antarctic Peninsula

• Continue exploring the Antarctic Peninsula.

• Enjoy wildlife encounters and scenic views.

Day 8: Fly from King George Island

• Disembark at King George Island.

• Take a charter flight back to Punta Arenas, Chile.

• Transfer to a hotel in Punta Arenas.

Day 9: Departure from Punta Arenas

• Spend the morning in Punta Arenas.

• Depart from Punta Arenas for your onward journey.
